Are you ready for your Annie Banks-McKenzie moment? Me too.
With 12 years of experience under my belt, I have finally discovered the secret to wedding photography... that there are no rules, because there are no weddings that are exactly alike. An ever changing landscape with new emotions, fresh designs, and different vendor teams, I am constantly seeking to understand just what it is that is important to you, and then to capture it in an artful way that cannot be replicated for anybody else.
I draw inspiration from my surroundings, from relationship dynamics, design details and meaning to create genuine, sophisticated, and "once in a lifetime" imagery. My process involves building a team of talented photographers and leaning into the complex and multi-faceted emotions of your wedding day. I am a collaborative partner to all vendors.
Being a mom has radically transformed who I am when I pick up my camera. Taking photos used to be about capturing a person, and a moment, perfectly. But now my life is full of messy, undone moments and I can so clearly see that it's rarely the perfectly curated moments that are full of any kind of meaning you'd want to hang on to forever...in fact, it's the times when you can't remember much other than how you felt that I crave the most as a photographer.
Each couple that I photograph receives the same level of intentional observation, gentle direction and dedication.
